Archive of Shows, Productions & Projects
Contained below is a historical record of some of the huge number of theatre shows, television programmes, live events and other productions that Adrian has been involved in over the years.
We have also included one or two historical events just to try and give a sense of time and put the relevant years in context.
Adrian has worked in the entertainment industry in many different roles. From Sound Designer looking after live sound re-inforcement and sound effects in the theatre, Follow Spot operator again in the theatre, through to Lighting Designer and Lighting Director or Director of Photography, both in the theatre and in television, most notably for the BBC both in the studio and on outside broadcasts, but also on live events and concerts out on the road for independent clients. Other specialised roles include intelligent, automated or 'moving light' design and programming and Catalyst media server video design and programming.

It was around Christmas 1973 when my Dad built for my brother
and me, a puppet theatre complete with footlights, a proper house curtain
that opened with a pull cord and a removable stage floor so that the puppets
could be operated properly. Along with the girls next door and a few others,
we put on a whole variety of shows. However the thing that fascinated me the
most was the lights. It wasn't long before I had my Dad add on a front of
house lighting bar. I then proceeded to dismantle several small torches, attached
them to the lighting bar, added coloured gel (sweet wrappers as far as I recall)
to some of them, and then wired them up to the power controllers used for
our 'OO' gauge model railway. Hey Presto… my first lighting job !
